Nick Clegg at a public question and answer session
Liberal Democrat Leader Nick Clegg, will be hosting an open question and answer event at Malvern Theatres, Malvern on Thursday 10th July 2008.
The event will be chaired by Malvern resident and former Chairman of Oxfam, David Bryer, and will be held in the Forum Theatre from 7pm to 8.15pm on the Thursday evening.
On becoming Leader in December last year, Nick Clegg spoke of creating a new type of politics, a people's politics: open, accessible, and helpful in people's everyday lives.
"Nick has already shown that he wants to listen as well as lead, and meetings such as these play an important part in making politicians more accessible," said West Worcestershire's Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Candidate, Richard Burt.
"I am delighted that Nick has chosen Malvern as one of the venues for his conversations with the British public.
"This is a great opportunity to come and enter into a public discussion with the Leader of the Liberal Democrats.
"Anyone can attend, and ask any question, on any topic. This is a direct conversation with local people - NO speeches, NO spin, NO hand-picked audiences and NO planted questions.
"The event is completely free, so why not make a date in your diary - come along and have your say."
