Pershore's Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Candidate, Richard Burt has taken up the cudgels on behalf of two patients who complained about posters displayed in Pershore Medical Practice in Queen Elizabeth Drive, Pershore.
The patients were astonished to find two posters displayed on the notice board proclaiming that Conservative parliamentary candidate, Harriett Baldwin was in fact their MP, and asking patients to write to her at the House of Commons.
They wrote to Dr Tom Pitts-Tucker and his partners on 8th September to point out the error but have received no reply and the posters are still displayed.
Richard, who has taken the matter up on their behalf, said he was astonished by the notices and would be taking up the matter with Sir Michael Spicer and the Parliamentary Standards Commissioner.
Richard said: "I find it quite distasteful that a GP practice in a position of public trust should persist in displaying such blatant disinformation for the benefit of their patients.
"I will of course be contacting Sir Michael Spicer about the matter and also the Parliamentary Standards Commissioner over the inappropriate use of the title of Member of Parliament and also the abuse of the house of Commons address.
"There is the small mater of a General Election before we know who the next MP for West Worcestershire will be, and it is local people who will decide."
