Candidate Attends World Mental Health Day Event

Local Liberal Democrat parliamentary candidate, Richard Burt attended a stall outside Waitrose, Malvern on 8 October to promote World Mental Health Day.
Richard accepted the invitation of Bob Leverett, Chairman of Malvern MIND to lend his support to the event.
Richard said: "World Mental Health Day has been celebrated on 10th October every year since 1992, and as part of this year's celebrations MIND are promoting a 'Get Moving Week' to highlight the enormous benefits physical activity can bring to mental health.
"If you suffer from mental distress, the first thing that often falls by the wayside is physical activity, and this can compound the problem.
"All across the country over 200 events have been planned to encourage physical activity whether you have experience physical distress or not, and I'm all for that.
"Mental health care is still a Cinderella service and I am happy to lend my support in any way I can to raise awareness and reduce the stigma surrounding mental health issues."
