The West Midlands Parliamentary Select Committee yesterday presented their final report on regional housing development.
Richard Burt has led the campaign against mass housing development across South Worcestershire and submitted a report from South Worcestershire Housing Action Group to the Select Committee.
Commenting on the findings, Richard said: "This report is detailed but deeply disappointing.
"It endorses a single regional housing strategy that the Liberal Democrats have pledged to scrap.
"The findings are largely uncritical of the decision-making process that left local people unrepresented and last in the queue to be asked their opinions on how many houses we need, and where to put them.
"It is a typical committee concoction, giving a nod to the protection of green spaces and countryside, but doing nothing about it.
"I'm afraid the report is already destined to gather dust on a shelf and will do nothing to ease the prospect of mass housing development across South Worcestershire.
