West Worcestershire's Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Candidate, Richard Burt performed the official opening of the fourth biennial Poolbrook Summer Fete in Malvern on Saturday 23 June.
Hundreds turned out to support the event which included an art exhibition and dancing in Poolbrook Community Hall, poster making by members of the Octagon Youth Club, a barbecue, rodeo ride, stalls and a bouncy castle outside the Three Horseshoes pub.
Organiser Angela Noble said: "We had a brilliant afternoon. There was a good relaxed atmosphere, and it was great to see so many people. Even the sun came out when we needed it.
"It was great to meet Richard, and we thank him for taking time out to open our fete."
The Lib Dem candidate paid tribute to the hard work of all those who helped to organise the day and also thanked PROBUS and QinetiQ for helping to fund the activities.
