Lembit Opik MP To Speak At Public Housing Meeting

Liberal Democrat MP, Lembit Opik is the special guest at a meeting being held next Friday, April 17. The venue is the URC Church Hall in Worcester Road, Malvern Link, and the meeting starts at 7.30pm.

The event is hosted by the party's local parliamentary candidate Richard Burt, and Mr Opik will talk about what the Lib Dems propose as a replacement for the Regional Spatial Strategy (RSS). The RSS is the controversial development framework for the West Midlands that has seen South Worcestershire being threatened with the building of 24,500 extra houses. Mr Opik is a former housing spokesman for his party.
