Malvern Liberal Democrats challenged District Council Leader, Sarah Rouse, on the future of Malvern Splash at the latest Malvern Hills District Council meeting.
After the significant £2.5 million additional support for the Leisure Centre contract during the Coronavirus pandemic, Cllr Kaleem Aksar asked how services would be improved for residents with all the new money being spent.
Confusion has arisen as to why a hillside in Malvern has been churned up by heavy machinery.
Walkers have raised concerns after a section of hillside adjacent to Gardiner's Quarry (pictured) has been cut up by heavy machinery, reportedly being used on the hills for tree removal work.
The Malvern Hills Trust removed trees from the hill last winter, so the ongoing work is being done to finish what was started.
District councillor Paul Bennett looked into the work, and questioned what was being done.
The government plans to completely change the planning process in England have caused outrage by local Liberal Democrat councillors.
Cllr Paul Bennett, who represents Pickersleigh Ward, said: "There is no extra affordable housing and sites up to 50 at a time will not even have to make contributions to pay for schools, roads or the new hospital we will need.
Liberal Democrat District Councillors Kaleem Aksar and Neville Mills are calling on Worcestershire County Council to fix the parking chaos on Redland Road and Cromwell Road in Malvern Link. They have launched a petition to tackle this issue.
These roads are becoming increasingly overcrowded by parked cars using local services in Malvern Link. As a result, residents are finding it difficult to park near their homes or even find a space at all.
