Hustings for Parliamentary Candidates in West Worcestershire
I have had many messages about hustings. I just wanted to say a huge thank you to the several people and organisations that have tried to organise them.
I have accepted every invitation and have put no condition on my attendance. If I am putting myself forward to be your MP, I should be willing to accept any reasonable format. And of course there will be tough questions, we are asking for your support on a tough job. So far, all requests have been reasonable.
I am really disappointed that none have come together so far. Personally I believe that if people are unwilling to attend, they should be empty chaired. We are meant to represent you and not avoid scrutiny.
If no hustings take place by next week- I'll see if I can sit in a selection of West Worcestershire bandstands so you can come speak to me (or equivalent, somewhere with fresh air!). I'll also be trying to knock on as many doors as I can in this time- but there are almost 45,000 so it may be one of our very kind and dedicated volunteers. If you want to speak to me personally, please get in touch.
Dan Boatright-Greene, Liberal Democrat Parliamentary candidate for West Worcestershire
