STOP LABOUR’S BUS TAX

Stop the bus tax

West Worcestershire Liberal Democrats are calling on the Labour Government to scrap the bus tax which will see fares increase by 50% in England. Buses are vital for so many across our community. This Government must invest in services which will boost our struggling town centres and high streets.

While this new Government has been left to make difficult choices, they cannot allow the burden of fixing the Conservatives’ mess to be on people and small businesses across the country.

The Lib Dems are calling for the rise to be reversed and the £2 bus cap to remain in place to protect rural communities and bus commuters from suffering more financial pain after years of “economic vandalism" under the Conservatives.

West Worcestershire Liberal Democrats' Campaign to Reverse the Bus Cap Increase

We call for the rise in the bus cap to be reversed and the £2 bus cap to remain in place to protect rural communities and bus commuters from an average £448 a year hike in costs.
