Evesham Northwest
Sally Jones
Born and raised in Manchester, I moved to Evesham with my husband last year.
While it has been an adjustment, I have love living closer to rural life and it has
shown me how different our political system can be across the UK.
I am standing for the Liberal Democrats as I have been disappointed by the
manipulation and mistruths I’ve been witnessing in local politics. One size does not
fit all when it comes to people. The Liberal Democrats recognise and respect this,
and I am excited to be running on a manifesto dedicated to helping everyone in our
town.
Despite health issues that prevent me from working in my previous industries of
healthcare and education, I have had the support of wonderful health care
professionals throughout this time. With their support, I am now working as a
children’s writer and have almost finished an MA in Creative Writing at Manchester
Metropolitan University, specialising in Children’s novels. I now want to represent you
and help make sure everyone gets the help they deserve, when they need it.
As a young woman and a wheelchair user I will be fighting to ensure we can all
access Worcestershire services, will use my experience to highlight the need for
change and will work with our local community to ensure our needs and priorities
are the council’s priorities.
