Pershore
Dan Boatright-Greene
Dan is from an army family and spent his childhood in Germany where his dad
served. He trained as an archaeologist and geologist before going into teaching. Dan
taught A levels at Worcester Sixth Form College for many years, teaching thousands
of local young people. He left teaching when he was elected to the county council in
2021.
Dan has represented Pershore since 2019, first as a town and district councillor. He
has a reputation for working tirelessly for residents and making sure everyone has a
fair deal.
Dan is a staunch campaigner for better services for young people. As well as being a
school governor and trustee of a youth centre, Dan has campaigned for improved
Special Education Needs services in the county, successfully working with families to
reverse the county's proposals to scrap early years places in 2022. He has also
successfully lobbied to change how the council approaches supporting those with
disabilities, has successfully fought for better footpath infrastructure and continues to
make sure Pershore and the villages get their fair share of funding.
Dan says, "It has been an absolute pleasure representing Pershore and the villages
for the past four years. While we have achieved a lot, there is so much more to do.
The current administration have a negative approach and it is time to bring a can do
attitude to the county council. That means voting Liberal Democrat, giving us the
opportunity to show what a new team can do. After twenty years in charge, the
Conservatives have taken us to the edge of bankruptcy, have run out of ideas and
refused to take ownership of their own actions. If re-elected I will continue to focus
on making sure Pershore gets a fair deal and work with my Liberal Democrat
colleagues to bring a positive, more community focused approach to Worcestershire
County Council."
