Dan is from a military family and spent his childhood in Germany, where his Dad was stationed. After training as an Archaeologist and Geologist, Dan taught for 11 years. When elected as a county councillor for Pershore in 2021, he moved away from full time teaching to focus on helping residents and campaigning for better services in our area.
Dan says: “It is a huge honour to be selected to run for parliament in the next General Election. I have a reputation for working hard for residents and I will continue to do this across West Worcestershire.”
“Like many residents, I feel so let down by our current government. Poor decisions by former prime ministers have meant interest rates are soaring, food prices have skyrocketed and businesses are not receiving the support they need as energy prices remain high.”
“Whether it is fighting for better funding for the NHS or education, better provision of NHS dentists and special educational needs places in schools, or supporting residents during the cost of living crisis, I will strive to make sure we are heard and our priorities achieved. We could go on, but we believe that it is time to look forward, not back. Whenever the next election happens, a change of government is very likely.”
Dan says: “It’s time we had an MP who is focused on our priorities. We need pragmatic and stable decisionmaking, not a government fighting itself. We can make a positive change for our area. The Lib Dems have a record of winning in areas such as ours and we are ready to do the same here!"
